This is going to be the wordiest portion of the site.
What I am to capture in each drawing is a simple sentiment, in no more than a typical quip or sentence…single frame comics style! I like to experiment with different media, but for obvious reasons it all has to finally go through some sort of digital processing to end up on the web.
So traditional media + digital tools = my favorite kind of combination.

I love enjoying picnics by the beach, doing freelance graphics + illustrations + animations, writing, fashion designing, enjoying good conversation and company, traveling with someone & collecting visual memories.
Weapons of choice: Photoshop, Flash, After Effects, traditional pencils, brush, paint, pencils, digital cameras. (+ eraser & Ctrl Z. ), words (writing).
People who wow: Jason Brooks wins hands down as my fav illustrator of all time; I think his work is absolutely wicked. Bunny: the book of random is my fav webcomic. I think the collective whole of ILM is amazing and (always) does brilliant effects.

>>The Story behind this site…
Sometime in 2003, when I was introduced into the oh so sometimes dreary world of Work, Dory appeared as a skinny, twiggy figure on paper. She evolved (thankfully), and the version I stuck with was birthed 11/25/03. Yayness!
Again, I had this brilliant flash of an idea to start this site during an internship… so this is the online chronicle of Dory & Fillet, you know, just in case the papers get burnt, waterlogged, or you know.. in case my room swallows them all up or something. In the midst of transferring stuff on paper from 2003 to the online version… eeps!! please BEAR WITH ME!!
